About ReadyCue
Round training and reaction training for boxing and every other sport, on a single screen. A free web timer — nothing to install, nothing to pay.
Why it was built
This timer grew out of the creator's own training as an amateur boxer. On the mitts, a coach doesn't call "Jab!" or "One-two!" on a fixed beat — the calls come at moments you can't predict. Reacting instantly to those irregular signals is one of the most important skills in real boxing.
Training alone, though, that unpredictability is hard to recreate. An ordinary interval timer beeps at fixed intervals, and your body quickly memorizes the rhythm. So the creator built a random timer that fires at an unpredictable moment between a minimum and maximum interval — and combined it with the round structure of boxing.
Core features
1. Round timer
Set the round length, rest length, and number of rounds, and the timer runs like a real boxing match. One bell rings when a round ends; three bells ring just before the next round begins, so you restart at exactly the right moment.
2. Random reaction timer
A signal fires at a random moment between the minimum and maximum you set. After each signal the clock resets and a new random interval is drawn. Because your body can never predict the beat, you train pure reaction speed.
3. Combo mode
Random signals fire while a round is in progress and pause during rest. It's the closest thing to real sparring: irregular reaction work inside a round structure.
4. Voice combo callouts
Instead of a plain bell, the timer can call out random combinations by voice — "One, two!", "Jab, cross, hook!" — recreating mitt work with a coach calling numbers, even when you train alone.
Built for every sport
The name started in boxing, but rounds and reactions apply to nearly every sport. Sport presets cover martial arts like taekwondo, BJJ, and kickboxing, interval training like Tabata and HIIT, sprint-start reaction work, and quick-reaction drills for basketball and soccer.
